Ego at The Grapes, Shrewsbury

Pre wedding get together for both families to have an informal late lunch before the big day. Staff were well organised and gave us a large table with plenty of room to mingle. Service was well managed with some great banter with the staff. Nice variety of good food . Thanks to all at Ego

We had a fantastic time here, thank you to all the staff for making us so welcome and for such amazing food! We want for a family birthday and had the Sunday dinner options, although our 10 year old did the make your own pizza. Which was perfect for her! The roast beef option was epic! With the beef done perfectly, tasty gravy and all the trimmings you would expect. We thought this was well priced. You can have the rest of the menu to, but not as.good value on a Sunday, but the quality of the chicken dish my wife had was really food. Ample parking here and I would highly recommend

Chose here for our date night dinner when visiting Shrewsbury last week. It was our first visit and certainly won’t be our last! Next time we are in the area we will definitely be back. The food was delicious, atmosphere brilliant, yummy cocktails and staff incredibly kind and helpful. Even better, they are super dog friendly and the staff made a fuss of our two each time they came to the table! We were holidaying in the area and had to bring our dogs due to restrictions at the accommodation meaning we couldn’t leave them unattended. We were seated in a quiet corner which was perfect and meant limited disturbance to our dogs. The food was generous in portion sizes and reasonably priced. Extra sauces provided when requested and the cocktail menu is fabulous! The Lemon Drizzle and hanging kebabs are a must try. 5/5

Came here by accident when we drove along A5 and we were all totally impressed by the tasty food. I finished every last bit of garlic and almond slices in the broccoli dish... and my daughter finished the sweet potato fries. In short every dish is brilliant!

Great place to come for occasions, Was a bit busy tonight so had to wait longer than expected but food was amazing.

Great service, beautiful interior with high end features. We were a table of 5 with a small dog. All made to feel welcome. We each had the 2 - 3 course Sunday lunch menu. All of it was delicious. Beautifully presented, great quality produce and really good value for money. We would definitely go back.

I came here today to do some work... I spent the whole day in the company of the staff... An incredible team of people work here. The main floor staff Emily, Lizzie, Jack, and Louise all did their level best to help and accommodate us during our visit, they were also extremely attentive to all the visiting customers. The chef in the kitchen was another fantastic Ego colleague, he too was very welcoming when we arrived on site and throughout the day helped facilitate our work. The whole venue looks stunning with a lot of attention to detail and cleanliness, This site has a large function room, a beer garden and a bowling green. What I really like is you can see into the kitchen from the restaurant seating here, I feel being able to see the chefs preparing and cooking food in a shiny sparkling kitchen always gives me extra confidence that the chefs have high standards... The food coming over the pass looked amazing... You can see why The Grapes is such a popular place to eat. This pub also has some really beautiful & unique lighting (I got some inspiration for own home while working here )... Thank you to the team here for looking after me and my colleague today... Very much appreciated

This was the first time we had visited Ego at The Grapes and we will certainly return. It was late on a Sunday and they had run out of the beef so we all had lamb - it was amazing. Perfectly cooked and full of flavour. A special shout out for our waitress Hannah C who made the whole experience really great.
